Kate, a great photo of you and Duff. Here are three things that I am wondering about India (for the moment): 1. The terrain. 2. The foilage; what season is it? 3. And how dark are the nights? I just finished some reading and study on Frederic Remington, the well regarded artist (and sculptor) of the American West. He created his body of work during the latter part of the 19th century. Thinking that the electric light was about to change the night forever, he tried to preserve its beauty, mystery, and some fear, in a series of nocturnes. So, is it darker at night in India than here? love, Dad

Keith & Kate,...am so excited for you & it sounds like you're having a grand time. I just finished a book yesterday about a young woman's year as an exchange student in rural northern Thailand. She talks about seeing the elephants as well...and her descriptions of all the color are incredible. I envision India as being dusty....okay, part of the time.
May I send a colleague to your site? She's coming to India for research next year (she's in my research in cross-cultural settings class)
Continue to learn and enjoy. Hugs..Aunt Fran
